I build the hard, invisible parts of software — language tooling, resilient distributed systems, and the abstractions that make complex systems simple to use.
I created and maintain tree-sitter-perl (the Perl grammar used in Zed, Neovim, Helix, and Emacs) and authored a ~47k-line Perl language server in Rust. I like finding the right primitive, then building the elegant thing on top of it. See projects for the code.
